Have a spare room at home? Become a paid supported lodgings host
Is your spare room empty? Has your child recently left home? Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? You could make a difference to a young person during this challenging time.
Cardiff Council is looking for households to become paid supported lodgings hosts who can provide a safe, supportive environment for a young care leaver to help them on their way to living independently.
We have a number of young people aged 16 to 18 who have left foster care or experienced a family breakdown and need help during this difficult time.
Supported lodgings hosts must be over 21 years of age and be able to offer suitable accommodation and help to develop life skills, such as cooking, budgeting and managing laundry.
We are fully inclusive and looking for hosts from all cultural backgrounds, sexuality and marital status, whether you are working full-time or already have a family of your own.
By joining us a supported lodgings host you will earn £189 a week and receive full support and training from an experienced team.
Visit our supported lodgings scheme if you are interested in learning more or contact the friendly team on 029 20873 797.
